CIE Automotive is an industrial group specialising in high-value process management in 13 countries, spread over 3 continents. The group, which conducts its business from a total of 51 facilities, 5 business offices and 4 technology centres, is divided into two business units: Automotive and Biofuels.

CIE Automotive is a global supplier of integrated services, components and subassemblies for the car industry, working with 6 basic technologies:

  • Aluminium: 8 plants (Spain, Romania, Mexico).
  • Forging: 5 plants (Spain, Lithuania, Mexico).
  • Stamping, pipe forming and welding: 14 plants (Spain, Czech Republic, Mexico, Brazil, China).
  • Smelting: 1 plant (Brazil).
  • Machining: 23 plants (Spain, France, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Mexico, Brazil).
  • Plastic: 8 plants (Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Mexico, Brazil).

Since mid-2006, CIE Automotive has focused its activity on the biofuels market with BIONOR. Currently, BIONOR is Spain’s leading biodiesel producer with two facilities in operation, its own distribution network and several projects underway. BIONOR maintains a presence in Spain, Italy, Guatemala and Brazil. Its goal is to achieve an installed capacity of 700,000 cubic meters of biodiesel by the end of 2008.

 

Beroa is a world leader in the engineering and assembly of refractory liners and the construction of industrial chimneys and other tall structures, and operates as a basic industry supplier in more than twenty countries around the world. Founded in 1997, Beroa is the only company in its sector with the ability to serve clients comprehensively and throughout the entire process (purchasing materials, project design, installation, start-up and maintenance).

During its first decade, the group has incorporated companies of great tradition and prestige and today has subsidiaries all over the world, making it a global player synonymous with experience, commitment and excellence. Beroa is now made up of several international companies including Karrena of Germany, founded in 1914 and now a European leader in refractory liners and chimney construction; Bierrum of England (1928), CTP-Thermique of France (1926) and YLA Pty Limited of Australia (1974).

Each of Beroa’s subsidiary companies maintains its own identity and offers unique technical solutions which, combined with its global management, strategy of growth and well-defined, continual development and an unfailing awareness of market opportunities, makes Beroa a highly competitive company.

Presently, the group employs more than 2,500 professionals on a permanent basis and over 3,000 specialists that work on specific projects. 2007 sales reached 400 million euros, while invoicing amounted to 360 million euros during the same period.
